Where have I been?
Time flies…
I had no idea it had been seven months since I last posted. I don’t know about you, but my precious 24-hours seems to burn faster and faster each day. Well, after I aghast at my lack of contact, I decided to get back in here and let you know where I’ve been.
The great thing and perhaps why I’ve lost track of time is that I’ve been reading. Yes. Reading. One of my forever loves. My good friend, Nancy Brooks is an incredible author. I wish I could leach off of her talent just by standing next to her. Anyways, she’s been working like a madwoman updating her novels and creating new ones as fast as stories come to her creatively devious mind.
Since she’s been on a roll. I’ve had the pleasure of reading her drafts. They are fantastic and will get even better as she finishes her polishing work. The adventures she takes her characters on are breath taking, both in a beautiful, catch-your-breath kind of way, and hang-on-to-your-seat can’t breathed kind of way.
I learn so much and get so inspired after I read her work. She’s the type of author who can take you to a place, and you as the reader, are so immersed in the setting, you can literally smell the fruits and flowers she describes. Her writing tantalizes all of the reader’s senses. I’m not just saying that because she’s a friend. She’s really that good of an author.
If you are looking for an immersive read. Nancy Brooks’ books need to be on you list. If you want to check out her listing, I’ve included her Amazon Author link. Click here.
In other news, I’ve been busy as well. Mostly family activities. Both my kiddos are getting into Airsoft games and are now in teams, so lots of driving, but it’s been good. For book related news, I released a book under my pen name in December and I’m currently working on the next book. The WIP is going a little slow, which is normal for me, but I’m plugging away.
Blurb for Isle of Cipit by Nancy Brooks
Legend has it that the eight sons of Mil d’Espaine will reincarnate. They must be found. They must remember. And they must fight for humans.
Despite contrived efforts in Forbidden Treasure, a new epoch has begun. The first Son of Mil begins his journey on the Isle of Cipit…
Everything was going according to plan; Kiarme and his band of mercenaries had control of an island paradise laden with buried treasure. Their futures seemed brighter, comfortable, secure—until screams of a dozen terrified men propel him onto a dangerous path in a desperate attempt to maintain control. Fueled by the near-fatal incident, unsettled by a confrontation with a creature neither animal nor human, Kiarme is determined to eliminate the threat by any means necessary—even kidnapping a young American student who may have crucial information on what appears to be an ancient goblin. Knowing he’ll have to kill her to keep the island and mercenary plans secret, he struggles between loyalty to his men and his ardent need for the beautiful woman who has suddenly stolen his heart.
The Sons of Mil series is a Celtic knot of characters and story lines that interlace as it introduces each of the sons of Mil in his own novel. Continue to follow their journeys through the Tangled Threads series, Mythic Beasts series, and Violators: The Coalition series.
