So Many Projects…

So Many Projects…

I have a confession.

I have several creative projects sitting patiently on the sidelines, probably wondering if I’ve forgotten about them.

I haven’t. I promise.

But life has a funny way of rearranging our priorities, doesn’t it?

Between work, family, getting sick (again!), and falling down a rather spectacular genealogy rabbit hole, my usual creative routine has been anything but usual.

And you know what? That’s okay.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how we measure productivity, especially when we’re trying to build something alongside an already full life. Sometimes, I feel like I should be writing another chapter, creating another product, or checking something off my ever-growing to-do list.

But creativity isn’t always about producing something new every single day. Sometimes it’s researching your family history. Sometimes it’s collecting ideas for a story you’ll write later. Sometimes it’s simply letting your imagination wander while you do absolutely nothing productive.

And sometimes, it’s resting because your body has decided you don’t get a vote. LOL! (I hate being sick!)

The stories are still there. The characters haven’t gone anywhere. Those half-finished projects will still be waiting when I’m ready to pick them up again.

I suppose that’s one of the nice things about creating something of your own. You get to decide when to return to it.

So, for now, I’m giving myself a little breathing room.

The books will get written. The projects will get finished. And the ideas? Well, those never seem to stop coming anyway.

Until next time, happy reading, writing, and creating!
