This week’s post is not about any format of a book. Instead, I want to talk to you about a FREE training I just completed. It’s called Take Control by Mel Robbins.

Just in case you have not heard of Mel Robbins. She’s awesome. She’s iconic. She’s all that and more. She’s a motivational speaker and I resonate with her. Because if you’ve even dipped your toe in the area of self improvement, you know there are tons of experts, gurus, and motivational speakers out there. Each of them are buckets full of knowledge. But each has a different style. I just happen to really like Mel Robbins. She’s straight up and to the point. She’s honest. She’s not afraid to throw F-bombs around. But always, always, supportive in her message. I really feel that she practices what she teaches. There’s a realness that I feel when I listen to her podcast. If you haven’t yet checked her out, I would highly recommend you do. Here’s her website: https://melrobbins.com/

Anyways, Take Control is a free mini training she did last year, but I only just got to it last week. I knew I needed this training when I signed up for it, but I don’t think I was ready to hear it. Last week, however, and given what my mind has been muddling through lately, I was finally ready. The training was a really good push for me to relook at my goals and what I’ve been putting off… Or to be more honest, what I’ve been too afraid to start. It’s a way to restart or #Reset.

What I love about Mel Robbins is that she always gives her audience action steps. But the great thing about her steps are that they are simple. Nothing complicated. Just simple practices to get you started and in some ways, build a habit. Take Control gives those steps.

To support this free training, Take Control also comes with a free workbook to really get the teaching dialed in and add that tactile connection. The training has 3 videos — it’s almost 2 hours in training. I listen to the videos while I’m driving. (I’m usually listening to her podcast already).

Today, I plan to go over the workbook and write down my thoughts.

After I go through Take Control one more time. She’s got another FREE training that released just a couple of weeks ago. That’s next on my list.

I hope you enjoy the free training as much as I did. Till the next time, take care and happy reading.
